3.14:1 LSD diff

This is a hybrid diff I made from a 2.3 diesel diff and a 2.9 4x4 diff.

It uses the normal 7" case and not the larger 7.5" case, making an easy upgrade to ALL Sierra's (and Granada's) that have rear discs brakes. Would be ideal for a kit-car? (it will fit in replacement of a larger 7.5" diff with the use of an 1/2 inch spacer)

 

It uses the case, crown wheel and pinion from a European 2.3 diesel (very hard to find as most are 3.38:1) and the LSD and drive flanges from a 2.9 4x4 (which is the EXACT same diff as used it the 4x4 Cosworths)

1. The case and pinion (15 teeth on the pinion)

2. The case again and crown wheel (47 teeth)

3. The 2.9 4x4 LSD with the 2.3 diesel 3.14 crown wheel fitted

4. The finished diff fitted to my 2.9 RWD Sierra (has been on the car for over month now with NO problems) A massive improvement over the standard 3.62:1 or 3.92:1  LSD diff.
