Speedo don't add up.

My analysis.

In the picture you will clearly see the speedo showing 199KPH and the revs at 4600rpm

I have keyed in the variables into the gear ratio and speed calculator (I have keyed in the tyre size of 185/65/14 as the speedo was calibrated for)

As you can see that's 27KMH below what the speedo is showing.

Now as you how the wrong size tyres on your car the speedo reading will be out even more, here's a snapshot of the same BUT with your 195/50/15 tyres.

At this point we are 33KMH out.

Now this is the best piccy I could get of your 220KPH

It shown approx 5100rpm, that would be 192KPH with the proper size tyres on or 186KPH with your 195/50/15 tyres on.

I think your revs counter is OK as the rev limiter cut in about where it should do and also on the video you sent me the revs didn't sound that high (you would need over 6000rpm to get to 220KPH with your 3.62:1 diff and 195/50/15 tyres) I doubt the rev counter is out by 1000rpm as it shows correct at tick over and also when the limiter kicks in. The only way to be sure is for me to check the rev counter for you as I got a special meter thingy.

As you can see by these figures it would be impossible to go over 130MPH/207KMH with the DOHC's 125bhp.

220KMH is approx 138mph, which would need near 150bhp.

But as yours is tweaked a little it might be about 130bhp, giving you 131.75mph/210kph. This theoretical top speed would happen at 5775rpm.
