Hi everyone!

Ok, now I made this topic for everyone to post their photoshop tutorials, or links to photoshop tutorials. Everyone's tuts are welcome here, as long as they are for photoshop :? . Also you can post requests here (for tuts of course).

Now enjoy the tuts and have fun trying them out.

Oh, one more thing to say: you don't HAVE to include pictures in your tutorial. it would be clearer to see what you did in eacht step, but text alone will do in many cases I think.

Well, I guess I'll start then :)
What I'm going to make is somekind of rotating text (picture 1)

1. (see picture 2) -Start off by creating a new document (file > new), and make it 500 x 500 pixels. Make sure that your background is black. Set 'background contents' to 'background color'. Click OK.

2. (see picture 3) -Now select the 'type tool' and click somewhere in you document. For this example I used 'Lithos Pro', make sure the colour is white. You can do it with any words but sometimes it will come out weird, so you can't use it with every text.

3. (see picture 4) -Right-click on the text layer, and click 'Duplicate Layer'. In this new layer, go to Filter > Distort > Polar coordinates. Make sure it is set to 'polar to rectangular'. Click OK. It will ask you if you want to 'rastarize the layer'. Click OK to that.

4. (see picture 5) -Now go to Filter > Stylize > wind, and create wind once from the left and from the right.

5. (see picture 6) -Go to Image > Rotate Canvas and rotate the picture once 90 degrees CW. Repeat stap 4 (the wind creating, once from the left, once from the right)

6. (see picture 1, result) -Go to Image > Rotate Canvas and rotate the picture once 90 degrees CCW. Then go to Filter > Distort > Polar coordinats. Make sure it is set to 'rectangular to polar'. Click OK. The effect is done, now you have to make the 2 layer it over each other. Select the original text layer and press Ctrl + T. Make it fit, and drag the layer above the copy, and set it's opacity to 75%.

Now you have your rotating text. You can press Ctrl + U to adjust some colour, just like I did. Make sure you adjust the colour of the copy, and not of the original text layer. Enjoy the effect and show me the results.
