Good news everybody, Silly Project now has it's own radio!
After a couple of weeks testing it, I have now decided to make the radio public.
The radio is streamed 24/7 and encoded in MP3 format at a bitrate of 128 Kb/s.
The radio should be compatible with any recent music/media program ...
Get information on the radio stream here :
Get a list of the last 10 songs played on the radio here :
Listen to the radio with any audio program using this file :
Just download that listen.pls file, and open it with whatever music/media player you want.
Another way to listen to the radio would be to open the stream directly with Windows Media Player.
Simply go to File, then Open URL, and then type in " http://www.sillyproject.com:7777 " and click ok ...
The radio will then start playing. The next time you got to Open URL, the address should be there already ...
The radio is being streamed to the Silly Project dedicated server from a small server in my room.
Because the server is on an ADSL line, I can't guarantee a 100% uptime, but it should be fairly good!
If you're interested in the servers hardware and software, you can get more information on it here ...
The radio is currenty playing all kinds of music! There's some Rock, DnB, RnB, Rap, Pop, Punk, Trance and more!
It's basically a giant playlist of all the music that I like personally, so if I don't like it, it's not going to be played ...
If you like what's on the radio or not, that's for you to decide, but listen to it for a while before you do decide ...
After all, there may be a song on you don't like when you connect, but one of your favourites on after it!
Sometime in the future, I plan to be doing dedicated spots on the radio during SPTR team meetings ...
This will be done by myself and maybe a few others, playing requested music, maybe presenting and more.
Stevo and myself have already started planning it, but feel free to share your ideas with us here!
This is just another one of my little silly projects, but I do hope you all enjoy the radio ...
Please post what you think of it below ...
