My Ford Sierra XR4i

Postby Dan » Sun 12 Aug 2007 20:33

Ok, I guess I'll show you my car then!

I currently own a 1990 Ford Sierra XR4i MKII Coupé ... :D

I've had it since Novemeber 2005, when I bought it for only 200 euros!
This car is my third car, and also the third Sierra that I've owned so far, lol!
It's in flint grey, it's got a 2.0L DOHC engine and it's back wheel drive *grins* ...

Here is a list of what modifications have been done so far :

- 17" Team Dynamics Drifz wheels
- Nankang NS-II 205/40/17 tyres on the front and 215/40/17 on the back
- G-Max lowered suspension kit with gas shocks and -40mm springs
- Weichers Sport front strutbrace and home made rear strutbrace
- 260mm front brake disks and Ford Granada front calipers
- Ashley 4" full exhaust system
- Max Power large cone air filter
- PowerChips ECU chip
- Ford steel head gasket
- Piper 270° Fast Road camshafts
- Camero V8 5.7L pink injectors
- NGK spark plugs and uprated leads
- MKI Sierra XR4i side skirts and arches
- MKII Sierra Cosworth 4x4 front grill
- MKII Sierra Cosworth 4x4 front bumper
- Rare Ford Motorsport bi-plane whale tail rear spoiler
- Mountney steering wheel with mountney boss
- Kenwood headunit and Sony 17cm 3-Way speakers
- Cheap half ebay, half home made flamer kit

Here is a list of what modifications will be done soon :

- Fit a Ford Granada Cosworth 3.62 limited slip differential
- Fit Maxtorq 260mm grooved front brake discs
- Fit Maxtorq sports front brake pads
- Fit Euroquip stainless braded break pipes
- Replace old brake fluid with DOT 5.1 fulid
- Fit little breather filter and fix a small pipe that broke
- Fit 3 TIM guages (Oil pressure, Volts meter, Vacuum guage)
- Fix the rear camber / beam problems

Here is a list of what modifications I wish to do in the future :

- Get a Cosworth bonnet with vents
- Get some Morette twin headlights
- Get some reclining bucket seats

Here are some photos of my car from when I first bought it :

So, there you go, what do you think? Not too bad for a 17 year old car, eh?
It's not the fastest, it's not in the best of conditions, it's not even clean, lol ...
But I like my car, it looks good (in my opinion) and is a pleasure to drive ...
There are plenty of better cars out there, but I'll never be able to afford any of them!
Having 600bhp would be nice, but my crappy 145bhp+ (?) gets me to the shops just fine, lol!

If you have any comments or questions about my car, just post them below! ;)
