The server is rented on a monthly subscription from OVH (www.ovh.com), a french hosting company based in Paris.
They are one of the top french hosting companys, and are connected to the internet backbone at sevral hundred Gbps!
The server is payed for by me out of my own pocket, costing me about 238 euros every month ...

The server is connected to the internet on a 1 Gbps dedicated connection.
The connection has unlimited bandwidth usage, so it is possible to use 1 Gbps 24/7 if needed!

Here are some photos of the OVH datacenters :

Got some decent specs on your server.
Ahh i once had a dedicated server.. use to pay 30USD for it. which is pretty cheap but it wasn't very reliable. lol
Use to have my site running on it http://youtube-dl.com which allowed users to download youtube vids n convert them to any format! :D
But yeh, i got broke so i gave up on it..
But thats a sweet server man, Why dont you put some ADs on the site to help you pay for the server? Google Adsence! woo

Thanks ... ;)

I think it's fair to say that anything that's cheap, is never great ... ;)

I'm not a fan of ads, I don't want to see banners and popups and text ads all over the place.
It's mainly for this reason that I'd be very slow to put any form of advertising on my sites/servers ...
I do all this for the enjoyment, not for the money, and if I can afford to offer something for free, I will.
When the website gets made, there will be a simple donate button, for people who wish to support the project ...

As some of you know, and most of you don't, Silly Project moved to a new server at the start of last week. ;)

I have now updated the first post in the topic to the new specifications / informations ... :)

I must say that I'm quite impressed with the new server so far, quad core ftw! :D
